The calculation procedure used by RSL III for local seismic responses is an equivalent linear type in the model n fields and parallel layers of horizontal extension not limited to half the space corresponding to the bedrock.
Seismic input, represented by one or more accelerograms (REXEL allows the search for a combination of natural accelerogram compatible with normative spectrum), applied to bedrock and wave propagation motion in a direction perpendicular to the surface evaluated using dynamic equilibrium equations as a displacement function.
