Ventsim was originally introduced to mining operations in 1994 to help design, upgrade and visually optimize underground ventilation systems. Now licensed to more than 1000 mine sites, consultants, universities, governments and research institutes around the world.
The new Ventsim Visual ventilation software was released in 2009 and offers a graphically rich and dynamic ventilation environment with more features than the original Ventsim Classic. Ventsim Visual is available in three versions: Standard, Advanced and Premium.
Ventsim Visual Standard is a lower-cost version based on an incompressible flow simulation routine and includes dynamic animated 3D graphics that show the dimensions and shape of the real airway along with animated airflow.
Colors represent over 30 different data types including airflow, velocity, pressure range and cost. In addition, the Standard version is equipped with a contaminant dispersing routine to help predict stable flows of gas, dust, fume and smoke.
Ventsim Visual Advanced uses advanced compressible flow modeling, including automatic fan curve and density adjustment, automatic natural ventilation simulation, and temperature and humidity prediction due to rock layers, automatic compression, diesel equipment and electric motors.
Ventsim Visual Premium includes all Ventsim Visual Advanced features as well as VentFIRE fire simulation, VentLog vent survey recording software, and optional remote data connection and display module.
